After your major catastrophe, place a call to your insurance agent or other insurance representative. Ask us any questions, we have seen it all.

AFC Services will help you review your responsibilities under your insurance policy for cleaning up the home to prevent additional damage. We will assist you and discuss any questions you have about clean up with your insurance representative or claim adjuster.

Once AFC Services arrives, AFC Services representative will thoroughly walk through your home, take photos and document the damaged areas. We discuss the areas that need to be cleaned with policy holder as well as insurance representative. Your insurance adjuster or claim representative may recommend what and how your home should be cleaned, but at the end it is your home, and we are your preferred company.

All documented files including photos and documentation and record of the drying progress to completion will be provided to you – the policy holder and your insurance representative for review and approvals.

After AFC Services evaluates the work and equipment needed to clean and dry your home, AFC Services will provide you with a contract for our services. Policy holder must sign the contract, before the AFC Services company can begin any work on the home. Once you sign the contract, you are responsible for compensating AFC Services for the work performed.

AFC Services will monitor and document the drying progress on daily basis. Moisture meter readings will be taken from areas adjacent to the areas mitigated to ensure all affected building materials had been addressed. Once the goal is reached and readings show normal levels of moisture as compared to similar building materials known to be dry, drying equipment will be removed from premises on the same day.

After mitigation completion, AFC Services will estimate the mitigation work using Xactimate software. Xactimate estimation software is a standard estimating system used by insurance companies and contractors to financially settle an insurance claim. Xactimate estimation software helps contractors and insurance adjusters to estimate uncertainty. We use Xactimate estimation software daily to ensure we are using industry standard pricing. This estimation software is used by every insurance carrier in the nation. This way, everyone is on the same page.

AFC Services will also prepare an estimate of the cost of repairs and/or replacement of the policy holders property loss using Xactimate estimation software. AFC Services company goal is to bring your residence back to pre-loss condition which means restoring the residence to the condition it was before the damage was caused – in most cases even better.

Prior to restoration work, the estimate including documentation will be provided and introduced by AFC Services to the insurance adjuster or insurance representative, and policy holder for review and approvals. Once the final estimate is approved by you, the insurance representative or insurance adjuster, the work will then be coordinated accordingly and scheduled depending on AFC Services and policy holder’s availability.
